How do you reach potential customers?
Are you cutting through all the clutter and lies that are out there, bombarding us daily?
Minds are limited: They can only remember a small number of units.
Minds hate confusion: They are attracted to simplicity.
Minds are insecure: Easily swayed by convincing authority.
Minds rarely change: They find it difficult.
Minds lose focus: Easily distracted and confused by vague communications and images.
The average mind can’t deal with more than 7 things at a time. Quick test: Name as many toothpaste brands as you can. Go!
If you named more than five, I’m impressed.
What does that mean to you? Who cares if you can't name more than five toothpaste brands?
If you’re position is not on top, you’re not even being considered. But does that mean advertising is a “game”? I don’t believe you have to play games with people.
Here are my top three ways to cut through the clutter and reach the mind of your target audience:
- Be clear.
- Be honest.
- Be consistent.
Where are you and your business positioned in your potential customers mind?
